Kingdom One is partnered with Skyline Church located in La Mesa, CA to add an Employee Engagement Coordinator to their team! 
 

Vision for the position: 

The Employee Engagement Coordinator is a key HR professional who supports a wide range of employee-related needs across the entire employee lifecycle. From onboarding to benefits administration to compliance, this role ensures a smooth and positive experience for Skyline’s staff. Serving as the go-to resource for HR questions, the coordinator will work closely with employees, leadership, and Skyline’s external HR and benefits partners. This position reports directly to the Finance Director.
 

What you will do: 

  • Onboarding – Manage the full process from drafting offer letters to leading new hire orientation.
  • Benefits Administration – Assist employees with enrollment, changes, and benefit inquiries.
  • Compliance – Help ensure Skyline is following all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Training & Development – Coordinate and deliver training programs, with a focus on payroll and benefits training to enhance overall skills and knowledge for employees.
  • Record Keeping – Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, payroll, and benefits data.
  • Partnerships – Manage working relationships with our outsourced HR facilitator and insurance brokers.
  • Finance Support – Assist with year-end audits alongside the finance team.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR generalist or similar role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
  • Strong mathematical skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Adobe)
  • Ability to multi-task effectively with strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and process changes

Compensation: $31 per hour
